Doesn’t mean anything (No significa nada) es el primer single del quinto álbum (cuarto de estudio) de Alicia Keys, titulado The element of freedom. La canción ha sido co-escrita y co-producida junto a Kerry “Krucial” Brothers.

Con Try sleeping with a broken heart, como segundo sencillo; co-producido junto a Jeff Bhasker (Kanye West, Keri Hilson).

En el disco se incluyen colaboraciones en labores de producción de Jeff Bhasker, Swizz Beatz, el colaborador habitual Kerry “Krucial” Brothers y el productor de Drake, Noah “40″ Shebib.

Colaboraciones de Beyoncé en “Put it in a love song”, y de Drake en los coros de “Unthinkable (I’m ready)”. Se incluye un tema con aires reggae como “Love is my disease”; y otro inspirado en los 80 “This bed”.
